Description
A graduate from the New England Conservatory of Music, and an instructor at the Musician’s Institute, Natalie Cadét can only be described as a prodigy. Having written and arranged all but two songs on her debut disc, “My Journey” is a personal walk through her life as an artist. Her creativity on full display, the album weaves vocals in and out of the instrumentation as if they were a backing orchestra. Natalie’s love of the classic’s is evident in her interpretation of Dave Brubek’s “Take 5”. Featuring Katisse Buckingham on tenor sax, it is a breath of fresh air on a what is now a celebrated jazz standard. From the opening lines of “Dear Depression” into the complex melody of “What Is Beauty?”, the true talent of Natalie Cadét is a wonder to behold.
