Pianist\/Keyboardist Mark Adams serves up a new approach to Soul Jazz. This is not the raw soul jazz of the 60\u2019s; he takes a gentler, more contemporary approach. The eight originals reflect an elegant style,\u00a0 with a strong sense of traditional jazz. He plays bebop over funk grooves, but Adams spices everything up with splashes of R&B and Hip-Hop grafted onto a Jazz mode. He also does a high-tech take that is unique but too short on Herbie Hancock\u2019s \u201cMaiden Voyage\u201d. Mark Adams is a Great pianist with a unique and fresh approach to smooth jazz and soul jazz, he may just be ahead of his time.<\/p>\n\t\t\t
