Description
On the heels of the 2008 financial crisis, followed by the 2011 passing of Producer/Manager
Kenny Mead, a 12 year CD-release-hiatus inadvertently became Shelton’s reality; but not without growth. This studio recording of all-original material, released in 2020, finds him playing Tenor, Alto, Soprano, & Sopranino Saxophones (all by Yanagisawa, which he endorses).
He also expands his Flute palette incorporating the rarely-heard Bb Flute D’Amore, Eb Flute, and Piccolo, alongside his (by now) familiar Concert and Bass Flutes. Shelton’s growth is further evidenced by his inclusion here of Bass Clarinet and Vocal features.
